How do I know which size to order?
The size is printed on the sidewall of your existing tyre — look for two numbers separated by a × or x. Road and hybrid bikes typically show something like700c × 35c. Mountain bikes typically show26 × 1.95or similar. Kids bikes show their wheel diameter (16", 20", 24"). Match those numbers to the size options above. Will the 3.5mm wall make the tube too stiff or heavy?
There's a small weight increase over a standard tube — we won't pretend otherwise. But for commuters, recreational riders, trail riders and hire use, the trade-off is overwhelmingly worth it. The wall is reinforced but still flexible butyl rubber — it fits and inflates the same way as a standard tube. You'll notice it when you handle it. You won't notice it once you're riding.
What is a Schrader valve and will it fit my pump?
The Schrader valve is the same design as the valves on your car tyres — the wider, stubby type with a pin in the centre.Every standard floor pump, track pump and petrol station air hose inflates it.If your current tubes have the narrow, pin-style valve (Presta), you'll need to check your rim has a Schrader-sized hole — most mountain bikes, commuter bikes and hybrid bikes do. Call us if you're unsure.
Is this suitable for electric bikes (e-bikes)?
Yes. E-bikes typically weigh more than standard bikes, which means more load on the tyres and tubes. The 3.5mm reinforced wall handles this well — it's one of the reasons we use the 6725 tubes in our e-bike hire fleet. Check your e-bike tyre size and match it to the options above. The 700c × 35–45c combo fits most e-bike models.
Will it work on Cable Beach sand riding?
The 6725 tube is what we put in our hire fleet at Broome Cycles — including our fat bikes for Cable Beach. For fat bike sand riding, you need the26" × 4.0" combo. Run the tyre at10 PSI for soft sand— the wide footprint floats over the surface. The reinforced tube handles the low pressure without issue, unlike thinner tubes which can pinch flat when run at beach pressures.

Can I buy just the tube without the tyre?
Yes — the 6725 Thorn Resistant Tube is available separately on both eBay and Amazon Australia if you only need the tube. The combo is the best value option because the tyre and levers are included. If your existing tyre is in good condition and you only need a better tube, the standalone tube listing is the one for you.
